Brooklyn Heights’s Standish Arms Hotel, now a condo, launches sales from $1.29M

The newest version of the former Standish Arms Hotel in Brooklyn Heights is a luxury condo developed by DDG, and it’s now launched sales. As of this morning, four apartments were listed on the building’s website, and the developer has released several new interior renderings of the condo as well.

Developers anticipate that the building, now known as The Standish, will have a total of 31 apartments that range in size from one- to five-bedroom units. Of those currently available, the smallest is an 856-square-foot one-bedroom that’s asking $1.29 million, and the largest is a four-bedroom spanning 2,405 square feet and asking $4.495 million.

Some of the standout features in the units include Austrian white oak flooring, Italian Carrara marble slab countertops in the kitchen, and silver travertine slabs and mosaic accented walls in the master bathroom along with a rain shower.

Amenities at the 12-story building, which is located at 171 Columbia Heights (just off the Brooklyn Heights Promenade), include a fitness center that comes with a yoga studio, a children’s playroom, and bike storage.

Since it was built in 1903, the Standish Arms Hotel building has taken on many different roles: After its years as a hotel it was sold to the Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1981. They turned it into housing, and in 2007, another group of developers converted it into luxury rentals. Those 90-odd rentals are now being converted into condos. The first closings are expected in July 2017.
